Later update2: Primul vaucher se duce la Fundatia „SOS Satele Copilor Romania” pentru ca sunt 47 de copii si 15 tineri care, sper, se vor bucura de cartile alese.
Later update: celor de la Okian le-a placut atat de mult acest post incat au decis sa-mi dea o suplimentare de 1000 ron pe care o pun la bataie alaturi de inca 1000 ron de la mine. asadar in total vor fi 3 castigatori ce vor primi fiecare carti in valoarea de 1000 ron.
Am primit de la Okian.ro un „vaucher” de 1000 ron pt a scrie un post despre relansarea lor. Au venit prin Biris (cius Biris) iar produsul oferit de ei (carti in limba engleza) mi s-a parut suficient de interesant pentru a scrie un post. Concret baietii se lauda cu 1 milion de carti in limba engleza disponibile pe siteul lor (ii cred pe cuvant, nu am avut timp sa verific), ceea ce i-ar transforma in cea mai mare librarie din .ro.
Donez acest vaucher celui care-mi va lasa in comentarii lista de carti pe care ar dori-o de la Okian. Mai simplu si mai direct, daca doriti sa castigati carti de 1000 ron de la Okian.ro lasati un comentariu la acest post in care precizati:

Nu stiu ce as putea scrie pentru a convinge pe cineva sa-mi acorde un premiu atat de frumos. Pot sa spun ca am cautat carti pentru care as face sacrificii pentru a le avea, asa cum am facut si pentru altele.
Sunt carti parca facute pentru mine. Prima din lista am cautat-o in mod special, am vazut-o acum cateva saptamani la Carturesti si mi-am promis ca strang bani sa mi-o cumpar, chiar daca este foarte scumpa.
Fiecare dintre aceste carti contine ceva care inseamna foarte mult pentru mine: frumusete, istorie, arta, calatorii.
Intr-o lume in care se stie ca niciun premiu nu este gratis, acesta este un premiu pe care chiar il apreciez.

19 ani. studenta in primul an- doua facultati. Ceea ce inseamna ca trebuie sa dau banii pe cartile care ni se impun la facultate. Destul de seci, as putea spune. Dar fireste ca trebuie cumparate pentru ca sunt scrise de minunatii nostri profesori. Banii de buzunar zboara in toate directiile dar din pacate pe carti mai accesibile ca pret si nu reusesc sa imi satisfac toate curiozitatile.
Am inceput cu fericirea (ultima carte de pe lista). Pentru ca despre asta vorbesc aproape tot timpul.
Calatorii- 1000 places to see before I die. Daca o sa vad macar jumatate, o sa ma declar multumita. Am deja o lista pe care bifez :)
Being a woman – aici am ales cartea cu „famous women” – vreau sa am argumente (si) mai solide cand contrazic pe cineva in legatura cu rolul femeii & co.
Vorbitul in public- uite ceva la care as vrea sa mai lucrez. Chiar am nevoie de opinii pertinente si sfaturi.
PR- mi s-a pus pata ca asta as vrea sa fac de acum incolo. O sa las timpul sa decida dar trebuie sa mai ajut si eu cumva destinul. Citind una din cartile de referinta ale domeniului cred ca e bine pentru inceput. Am rasfoit-o in romana dar nu m-a prea multumit traducerea.

Sunt studenta in anul 3 la Relatii Publice. Inca putin si dau licenta:) Acesta este motivul pentru care am ales carti de PR. Din pacate autorii romani nu fac altceva decat sa copieze dupa straini si sa spuna ca au scris ei. O carte de Cristina Coman este o compilatie intre Doug Newsom si Bob Carell. Atata tot.
Ideea ta este de admirat. Intr-o lume in care premiile sunt haine, bani, masini, parfumuri, invitatii la film etc…un om da cadou carti. Esti o raritate si te felicit pentru acest aspect „anormal” intr-o lume atat de ‘normala”
Imi doresc enorm de mult aceste carti. Dar cred ca tu vei decide bine si simplul fapt ca atatia oameni doresc cartile pe care le oferi, ma inveseleste. Lumea inca mai citeste:)

Lucrurile din jurul nostru pun o amprenta foarte mare asupra vietii noastre de zi cu zi. Un scaun comod ne face munca la birou mai usoara, o bucatarie bine aranjata ne face sa gatim mai des si deci sa ducem o viata mai sanatoasa, un spatiu de odihna armonios ne ajuta sa ne reincarcam bateriile mai bine.
Cand ne uitam in jurul nostru, sunt micile detalii care fac toata diferenta si care ne pot face viata mai usoara. Design-ul industrial sau de interior are ca viziune o lume in care oamenii sunt in armonie cu lucrurile din jurul nostru. Acest lucru ma atrage si despre asta vreau sa citesc.

Am 24 ani, sunt inginer electronist si lucrez in proiectarea circuitelor integrate. Site-ul este foarte binevenit in peisajul netului romanesc din prisma profesiei mele. Pana acum erau destul de greu de obtinut materiale de specialitate in domeniul meu. M-am uitat la ei pe site, l-am studiat vreo 2-3 ore si chiar pot spune ca au multe (cel putin pe partea de circuitistica). Am deja o lista de vreo 9-10 materiale pe care mi le-as dori, si mi-ar fi de mare folos. Cu siguranta voi apela la ei in viitor. Iata si lista cu cele mai importante carti pe care le-as dori:

Totul acum tinde spre alimentari si consum cat mai mici. Cartea este recenta si aprare ca „in curs de publicare”. M-ar ajuta sa ma pun la curent cu evolutiile tehnologice in domeniu.
Analog Design Essentials (362.99) –> http://www.okian.ro/shop/product/index.php?product_id=223971 – Un foarte bun ghid in ceea ce inseamna proiectarea circuitelor analogice. Contine majoritatea topicurilor de interes, chestiile de baza dar si noile progrese in domeniu. E intotdeauna utila o carte de genul acesteia, cu notiunile de baza, in momentele in care o prea mare complexitate poate eclipsa o solutie mult mai simpla sau niste probleme de functionalitate de baza.

Acestea sunt. In special cea legata de SPSS ar fi de un foarte mare ajutor, mi-ar usura cu mult munca, dar si restul titlurilor mi-ar placea sa le am pentru ca ma intereseaza mult tema , iar la noi nu exista inca literatura de specialitate in acest domeniu. Asa ca, ai ajuta mult un student care isi doreste sa realizeze o lucrare nu doar bunica sau buna ci foarte buna.

Mult succes si celorlalti si felicitari pentru initiativa !
Pentru mine a fost o alegere foarte dificila in conditiile in care Okian detine o adevarata comoara – peste 1 milion de carti in limba engleza. Mi-as dori sa detin toate cartile din zona media, dar si cele din IT, Arta ori Turism… Dar fiindca lucrez intr-un centru de documentare, este mai mare satisfactia cand cititorii nostri pleaca cu zambetul pe buze ca au gasit ceea ce cautau aici. Am 25 de ani si dupa ce am ratacit pe bancile facultatii la o specializare gresita, am descoperit ce mi-ar place cu adevarat: un job in domeniul marketingului. Salut. Am 24 de ani si sunt un online planner la inceput de drum. Mai jos am selectat cartile folositoare cuiva in situatia mea. Indiferent daca castig sau nu, am facut un reading list serios. Mi-ar mai fi trebuit 1000 de ron ca fie complet din punct de vedere al know-how-ului. Cartile de mai jos n-ar trebui sa lipseasca din bibloteca nici unei agentii interactive, mai ales a uneia care vrea sa aiba si clienti din afara.

Salut, oferta ta suna tentanta si m-am gandit sa-mi fac o lista cu cartile pe care le-as cumpara. Bineinteles, la cate cereri sunt aici nu ma astept sa fiu eu castigatorul insa daca m-as chinui un pic probabil ca in vreo cateva luni (aproximativ 6-7) as avea cateva dintre ele. Sunt un cititor avid de informatie in zona IT si ma intereseaza in special programarea (cea web based cat si programarea „clasica” de desktop). Consider ca aceste carti mi-ar influenta inspre bine cariera. Oricum in fiecare zi petrec aproximativ 1-1.5 ore pe bloguri de specialitate citind lucruri noi, interesante, despre programare (am in google reader aproximativ 30 de bloguri). Momentan sunt la inceput (am aproape 23 de ani) si sunt in industrie de aproape 2 ani. Pot sa spun ca inca mai incerc sa citesc beletristica atunci cand am timp, insa nu se compara cu vremurile bune din liceu…

Ai nevoie de carti pentru ceea ce faci asa ca pe unde mergi, cu cine vorbesti ai grija sa faci rost de o carte buna pentru meseria ta, altfel treaba sta pe loc.
De aceea propun altceva: o mica biblioteca americana, cativa clasici (tot e librarie in limba engleza si tot e o suma mai mare). E mai greu de facut rost de ea in tara (toate odata) si spune povestea Americii, asa cum a devenit ea in secolul XX. Am citit si in romana (nu toate), dar le-as reciti cu placere in engleza.

Vara trecuta am vrut sa comand carti de la okian, dar n-ar fi ajuns in Timisoara in intervalul pe care il voiam eu pentru ca urma sa ma mut in Bucuresti.
