Apropo de mobile

Apropo de ce spune Dragos aici, inainte de a vorbi de un model pentru mobile advertising ar trebui gasit modelul pentru mobile ecommerce, cele doua sunt strans legate, iar banii pentru advertising vor veni din ecommerce, asa cum se intampla acum pe internetul „clasic”.

Altfel se pare ca nici pe partea de plati cu mobilul lucrurile nu sunt chiar roz:

„Mobile payments and purchasing at the physical point of sale have experienced little adoption in the U.S. marketplace despite abounding innovation in mobile and payments technologies,” according to a new 45-page report on the mobile-payments industry from Javelin Strategy & Research, a consulting firm in Pleasanton, Calif.

Asa incepe un „thermonuclear war”

Samsung e doar o victima colaterala, adevarata tinta a celor de la Apple fiind Google/Android. A, intre timp cash-ul pe care sta Apple a depasit 100 miliarde USD.

Fire at will!

Remember declaratiile de la achizitia Motorola de Google? Se intampla acum un an, tot in august. La motivatiile achizitiei, pe siteul Google inca mai puteti gasi asta:

There are two reasons. For one, innovation. This acquisition will bring Motorola Mobility’s hardware expertise closer to our software expertise – accelerating innovation. The second reason is to protect the Android ecosystem. Dubious lawsuits are threatening Android and its manufacturing partners. In some cases, litigation is keeping companies from selling competing products. Motorola Mobility’s patent portfolio will act as a deterrent, ensuring Android devices continue to compete with Apple, RIM and other platforms.

Well, stirea zilei de ieri e asta:

Google Inc. (GOOG)’s Motorola Mobility unit said it filed a new patent-infringement case against Apple Inc. (AAPL) claiming that features on some Apple devices, including the Siri voice-recognition program, infringe its patents.
